In preparation for my show in February I have started refinishing frames.
I really wanted to use old frames from thrift stores and yard sales. I love the way it looks when an eclectic collection of frames go together and don't necessarily "match". Plus its environmentally friendly and cost effective!
Since the frames are different shapes and sizes, I'm painting them all black (and a few bright green) so they feel cohesive. Above you see a few them after they were sanded and the first coat of primer has been applied.
